Sadguru Nannagaru narrates verse 41 of Aksharamanamala
(In sunlight the lotus blossoms), how then couldst Thou, the Sun of suns, hover before me like a flower bee, saying 'Thou art not yet in blossom', Oh Arunachala?
The honeybee extracts honey from the flower only after the flower blossoms. If the flower doesnt blossom, the honey bee keeps rotating round the flower but doesn't enter the flower. Oh! Arunachala, will you resemble that honey bee? The devotee called Ramana has not yet blossomed ie not yet evolved. So do you feel 'How can I enter Ramana? How can I accept him into my heart?' Thus Bhagavan scolded Arunachala here. The bride called Ramana is revolting back. Bhagavan further says: ' Oh! Arunachala, are you a honey bee? If you intend that you can work like a honey bee only and not more than that how can you become God? Honey bee doesn't have the power to blossom a flower. Only Sun has that power. Oh! Arunachala, dont behave like a honey bee. If you have to enter my heart, it has to blossom. Ensure that my heart gets blossomed. If I dont deserve, ensure that I get the required eligibilty. Oh! Arunachala, Blossom my heart and unite me within you. Suppose a patient visits a doctor, will the doctor say: 'You have a disease. So go back'. If the doctor speaks so, what is the purpose of having a hospital? Oh! Arunachala you have the fame of being Supreme Lord. If you cannot reform me, blossom my heart and evolve my mind, why do you need the qualification of being called God? Even the mirror shows my face only. Do you need to mention my weaknesses exclusively? Will you do the work of a mirror? If so, will you become God? Dont do the work of a mirror. Do the work of a Mother. As a mother cleanses the dust on its child, remove my weaknesses but dont point them out. Bless me with those good qualities by possessing which I will become equivalent to you. Dont stay away from me with the reason that I have certain weaknesses but reform me and protect me, Oh! Arunachala. You must have the resolve to reform me. If not, Can I make that resolve? No. Without you loving me, can I love you? Can I get the yearning to reach you without your grace? I can reach you only when I have the intense yearning. So please generate that yearning within me. Please generate love for you within me.
