"You will go directly to God" - (By Dr.Mithin)

I met Sri Nannagaru the next day in the satsang.

There were already a group of people surrounding the chair he was to sit in and they gave way for me to come and sit right in front of the chair.

Some lady devotees were distributing coffee to everyone and I did not get it.

Sri Nannagaru came slowly towards the chair and sat down and had a foot massage.

After the foot massage the days newspaper was handed over to him for his perusal. Someone brought coffee for him and he began to sip it. He looked at me and said "Has anyone given you coffee Doctorgaru?"

I shook my head and hastily a cup of coffee was procured for me and I began to sip it.

At the end of it, Sri Nannagaru went into Silence for sometime.

His hand raised in the mudra of a snake and he was nodding to someone or something in the depths of his conciousness. His eyes were closed and the margins of his mouth drooped down in an attitude of solemnity.

He gave an occasional cough and would sometimes run his hands over his thighs and adjust his shirt.

He opened his eyes and looked at me intensely.

I felt the waves of peace bombarding me again.

He then closed his eyes and went back into his trance like state.

He opened his eyes again and looked at me for sometime in the deepest of gazes. I looked back not knowing what I had to do.

He scanned the entire room.

He now looked at devotees and broke his silence

"There are many amongst you who will go to punya lokas after they die."

He looked at a lady devotee sitting next to him and said "You will go the Abode of Vishnu. You have the attitude of service in you."

The lady cried silently.

He looked at me and said "You will not have any of these false states of going to various divine heavens. You will come to God Directly."

His look and voice carried a conviction born of Pure Knowing.

I kept looking on at him.

After sometime he said "Tomorrow I will not be here I am going to a devotee's house in Jubilee Hills."

I nodded and said "I will come."

He smiled and asked someone to give me the address.

The next day I headed out to Jubilee Hills residence of the devotee.

It was hard to find and by the time I reached it the morning satsangh had just begun.

Sri Nannagaru was expectantly looking at the door and as soon as I entered he gestured knowingly and asked me to come and sit next to him.

After having seated my self, I looked around.

A lady devotee came and gave me coffee and there were little smiles around the group.

Finishing the coffee, Sri Nannagaru looked at me and said " What is there to desire in another? They are all verily you."

I looked on.

"Fruits ripen either in the basket or on the tree. You will ripen on the tree" he said.

He looked at me and said "Do you have any doubts?"

I nodded and said " How can one lead one's life so that every second is dedicated to Guru's Pure Feet?"

He said " It comes with devotion. It is called the path of Sharanagathi. The path of Surrender. But you should understand that by Guru's feet the physical feet are not implied but what is implied is the Heart Centre. Padam means foot and also root. The true feet of the Guru are in the Heart Centre and that is where one should surrender oneself."
